Cadet Trey Reimann, Virginia Military Institute, lays out his gear ahead of Exercise Cambrian Patrol taking place in Wales October 4-14, 2024. The squad of eight cadets became the first Army ROTC program to participate in NATO’s most challenging patrol test that sends over 100 teams out on a staggered schedule to complete a patrol in 48 hours or less. VMI’s execution of the patrol takes place October 8-10, and during this timeframe, the squad will navigate 60 kilometers of terrain through and around Brecon Beacons National Park while carrying 77 pounds of gear. | U.S. Army photo by Sarah Windmueller
