North Carolina State University Army ROTC Cadet and N.C. National Guard Simultaneous Membership Participant (SMP) Sebastian Ball, gives his verbal orders while his platoon conducts actions on the objective after a simulated fire fight with an opposing force during platoon react to contact training at the Camp Butner National Guard Training Center here Feb. 23 and 24. Ball was part of 65 other members of NCNG Recruiting and Retention Detachment IV, Recruit Sustainment Program (RSP) based in Morrisville, N.C. The unit trains future soldiers and leaders in order for them to learn common soldier tasks and develop leadership skills in preparation for army basic combat training.
