Iraqi army Pfc. Kadhim M. Kadhim, infantryman, Quick Reaction Force, 2nd Brigade, 1st IA Division, assembles an M-16 A2 service rifle during his final evaluation. "I was curious to learn something new,"said Kadhim. "I plan on telling all my friends about all that I have learned here." Ten Iraqi soldiers were selected by their command to go through this course, making them the first to participate in the RCM for their unit. As an incentive to complete the course, the soldiers were given armorer's tools that were specially made for them in order to perform their new jobs. This three-day course was developed because of a need for Iraqi soldiers to learn how to maintain the weapons they received from U.S. forces. The objective is for these soldiers to become armorers for their units and share the knowledge they received from the Marines.
