Utah National Guard Soldier assigned to the 1896th Quartermaster Platoon and a student with the Salt Lake Community College Culinary Institute work together to prepare a meal at the 2024 Veterans Day Culinary Competition in Sandy, Utah, Nov. 9, 2024.The event was held with Soldiers of the 1896th Quartermasters Platoon and students of the Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) Culinary Institute; participants exercised their cooking capabilities in a challenging and fast paced environment; the competition built stronger relationships between the Utah National Guard and the SLCC Culinary Institute.
