Lt. Gen. Steven W. Gilland, superintendent of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and senior mission commander for U.S. Army Garrison Fort Hamilton, visited the installation Nov. 15.
During his visit to New York City's only active-duty Army post, Gilland recognized Child and Youth Services staff and Child Development Center personnel for achieving a near-perfect score on a recent Army headquarters inspection. He also commended the Directorate of Emergency Services staff for their anti-terrorism and force protection efforts, and other high-achieving staff members for their hard work and dedication.
