U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to 356th Transport Company, 383 Quartermaster Battalion, 647th Regional Support Group, 4th Sustainment Command, participate in the warm-up of the traditional spur ride held in Bemowo Piskie Training Area, Poland, October 24, 2024. The Spur Ride is a long-standing Cavalry tradition for candidates to earn their way into the Order of the Spur. The ride consisted of over 20 miles of rucking, 10 intellectually and physically demanding testing lanes, and intense corrective training. The 1st Cavalry Division’s mission is to engage in multinational training and exercises across the continent, strengthening interoperability with NATO allies and regional security partners, which provides competent and ready forces to V Corps, America’s forward-deployed corps in Europe.
