Norfolk Naval Shipyard Woodcraft Shop (Shop 64) Woodcrafter Charles Tan has been with the shipyard for approximately six months. Being here such a short time, he has already set some long and short-term goals for his shipyard career. “My short-term goal is to complete all of my qualifications required for Shop 64, this way I will be able to do any job that comes our way,” said Tan. “My long-term goal is to retire from Norfolk Naval Shipyard. I enjoy working with different people and I’m not doing the same thing over and over again.”
