U.S. Fish and Wildlife biologists stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas, conduct multi-faceted wildlife data collection on a consistent basis as part of the Sikes Act. The Sikes Act is a United States law enacted in 1960 that requires cooperation between the Department of Defense and state agencies for the planning, development, and maintenance of fish and wildlife resources on military reservations across the country.
