Members of the Nuclear Disablement Teams traveled to Suffolk County, N.Y., to work with other members of the National Technical Nuclear Forensics Ground Collections Task Force that is composed of FBI, DOE, and Air Force personnel. This exercise allowed the soldiers to work with a team of federal nuclear forensics experts and collect simulated nuclear debris near the determined site in winter weather conditions. Nuclear Disablement Team 3’s Capt. William Bosley (left) accepts a collection from Staff Sgt. Caleb Cobb, a sample collection team member with the 22nd Chemical Battalion (Technical Escort), as he goes through a contamination control line. After completion of the exercise, participants agreed it was a success and all objectives were met.
