U.S. Air Force Col. Mike Hurst (retired), former commandant of the Advanced Airlift Tactics Training Center, takes a tour of the school house, with other former alumni, during the 40th anniversary of the AATTC at Rosecrans Air National Guard Base, in St. Joseph, Missouri, December 1, 2023. During the visit, alumni toured the school house, received a demo on the Advanced Visual Threat Recognition and Avoidance Trainer, participated in a chili cook off, and were invited to the yearly AATTC Christmas party. Since 1983 the AATTC, has provided advanced tactical training to airlift aircrews from the Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve Command, Air Mobility Command, U.S. Marine Corps and 17 allied nations.
