Soldiers with the 1st Battalion, 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment, deployed from Ft. Myer, Va., instruct members of the Uganda People's Defence Force on land navigation and terrain features prior to a squad competition at Forward Operating Location Kasenyi, Uganda, April 1. The UPDF soldiers are training with members of the The Old Guard during a 16- week course designed to enhance basic infantry skills among the force. The Army Soldiers are part of Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa. One key part of the CJTF-HOA mission is to help Africans solve Africa's challenges. The squad competition gave UPDF soldiers an opportunity to showcase the skills they have learned in the 16-week course.
