    USS Benfold SRF-B Training

PHILIPPINE SEA (Jan. 15, 2025) Interior Communications Electrician 1st Class Andrew Edison checks a passageway during a Security Reaction Force Basic (SRF-B) drill aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Benfold (DDG 65) while operating in the Philippine Sea, January 15. The team was simulating clearing a passageway with a “T” entry point which requires communication between the Sailor clearing the way and the last man in the formation, Religious Program Specialist 2nd Class Derrek Kasper, shown behind Edison, to move through the passageways of the ship. Benfold is forward deployed and assigned to Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s Largest DESRON and U.S. 7th Fleet’s principal surface force.
