PHILIPPINE SEA (Jan. 15, 2025) Sailors assigned to an at-sea fire party on the Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Benfold (DDG 65), pass damage control equipment down a hatch. The team was sent in response to a simulated flooding as part of a routine drill while operating in the Philippine Sea, January 15. Benfold is forward deployed and assigned to Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s Largest DESRON and U.S. 7th Fleet’s principal surface force.
