District 107 State Representative Brad Halbrook speaks at the Company B, 2nd Battalion, 130th Infantry Regiment Mobilization Ceremony at Effingham Junior High School on Feb. 8 in Effingham, Illinois. State Representative Halbrook honors the mobilizing soldiers by expressing gratitude for their sacrifice and commitment to protecting our nation. "This is what serving in the United States military is all about. It is about the love of country and the love for the ideals that has made our nation great. I don't have to tell you that America is worth fighting for and defending. You are living proof of that profound truth." Approximately 130 Soldiers from Company B, 2nd Battalion, 130th Infantry Regiment based in Effingham, Illinois, participated in a mobilization ceremony at Effingham Junior High School on Feb. 8. Company B Soldiers are mobilizing with approximately 550 other Soldiers from 2nd Battalion, 130th Infantry Regiment to the Middle East. The deploying units are based in Marion, West Frankfort, Litchfield, Mount Vernon, and Effingham. B Company is led by Company Commander Capt. Andrew Klein and 1st Sgt. Evan Stoltz. The unit's primary mission will be securing and protecting U.S. and allied forces in the Middle East. The mission will also include training with many of our regional allies.
