Approximately 130 Soldiers from Company B, 2nd Battalion, 130th Infantry Regiment based in Effingham, Illinois, participated in a mobilization ceremony at Effingham Junior High School on Feb. 8. Company B Soldiers are mobilizing with approximately 550 other Soldiers from 2nd Battalion, 130th Infantry Regiment to the Middle East. The deploying units are based in Marion, West Frankfort, Litchfield, Mount Vernon, and Effingham. B Company is led by Company Commander Capt. Andrew Klein and 1st Sgt. Evan Stoltz. The unit's primary mission will be securing and protecting U.S. and allied forces in the Middle East. The mission will also include training with many of our regional allies.
