Sergeant Aaron Botenhagen, an amphibious assault vehicle section leader serving with 3rd Assault Amphibian Battalion, explains the capabilities of an amphibious assault vehicle on Camp Pendleton’s Red Beach during the battalion’s Jane Wayne Day, March 15, 2013. Jane Wayne Day provides spouses and family members of Marines and sailors with the opportunity to get a taste of Marine Corps training and experience a day in the life of a Marine with 3rd AABn. Family members participated in Marine Corps Martial Arts Program training, received instruction on several Marine Corps weapon systems, and rode on amphibious assault vehicles.
