Corporal Gregory Eley, a green belt Marine Corps Martial Arts Program instructor serving with 3rd Assault Amphibian Battalion, guides Laura Ybarra, the wife of Lance Cpl. Felix Ybarra of Bravo Company 3rd Assault Amphibian Battalion, in executing a proper defensive technique on Crystal Salinas, the wife of Lance Cpl. Obed Alvarez of Charlie Company, during the battalion’s Jane Wayne Day here, March 15, 2013. Jane Wayne Day provides spouses and family members of Marines and sailors with the opportunity to get a taste of Marine Corps training and experience a day in the life of a Marine with 3rd AABn. In addition to MCMAP training, family members received instruction on several Marine Corps weapon systems and rode on amphibious assault vehicles. The Ybarras are Houston natives, and Salinas and Alvarez are McAllen, Texas, natives.
