Ashley Hopkins, a native of St. Louis and the wife of Cpl. Joshua Hopkins of Headquarters and Service Company, 3rd Assault Amphibian Battalion, and Sierra Bishop, a native of Oceanside, Calif., and the daughter of Master Gunnery Sgt. Gregory Bishop of 3rd AABn, file into an amphibious assault vehicle just before riding down Camp Pendleton’s Red Beach during the battalion’s Jane Wayne Day here, March 15, 2013. Jane Wayne Day provides spouses and family members of Marines and sailors with the opportunity to get a taste of Marine Corps training and experience a day in the life of a Marine with 3rd AABn. In addition to riding in AAVs, family members participated in Marine Corps Martial Arts Program training, and received instruction on several Marine Corps weapon systems.
