In February 2025, a U.S. Special Forces team training alongside Côte d'Ivoire Special Forces personnel conduct live fire of crew served weapons. This training is part of the United States' commitment to work alongside the FACI to help make the United States and Côte d'Ivoire safer, stronger, and more prosperous. U.S. Africa Command is one of seven U.S. Department of Defense geographic combatant commands. The command is responsible for all U.S. military operations, exercises, and security cooperation, and conducts crisis response on the African continent to advance U.S. interests and promote regional security, stability, and prosperity.
