Navy Senior Chief Master Diver Brett W. Sligo retires after a 21-year military career, Ventura, Calif., Jan. 31, 2025. Sligo served in his final duty station at the Oceans Department at Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (NAVFAC EXWC), where he supported the Command and the Navy with the research, development, testing and evaluation of the state-of-the-art underwater technology. As NAVFAC’s only warfare center, NAVFAC EXWC provides research, development, test, and evaluation, and in-service engineering to deliver specialized facility and expeditionary solutions to the Fleet and warfighter.
