GREAT LAKES, Illinois (March 6, 2025) Personnel Specialist 2nd Class Donovan Wilson, assigned to Navy Reserve Region Readiness and Mobilization Command Great Lakes, practices weapons familiarization with the M18 handgun during an Auxiliary Security Force (ASF) Academy held aboard Naval Station Great Lakes. The ASF academy is a three week course that trains active duty service members to augment base security personnel during various contingencies, terrorist attacks, natural disasters, civil disturbances, exercises, and special events requiring heightened security.
