Norfolk, Va. (Apr. 4, 2025) – Eleven U.S. Navy medical reservists assigned to hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH 20) visited Military Sealift Command’s fleet replenishment oiler USNS Joshua Humphreys (T-AO 188) at Naval Station Norfolk, Apr. 3, for a tour and lunch, offering a unique maritime experience for the entire team.
Picture above: While aboard Joshua Humphreys, the Navy medical reserve team had the chance to observe the ship's medical facility, also known as Sick Bay, said Operations Officer Larry J. Gonzales. "The engagement was remarkable as it allowed the team to learn how their existing skill sets can be effectively applied in a real-world, operational environment. The ship tour provided not only a valuable opportunity for practical application but also helped to enhance understanding of their roles in a deployed medical capacity."
