Connecticut Army National Guard Sgt. Alexander Tixi, a combat medic specialist assigned to the 141st Medical Company (Ground Ambulance), 118th Multifunctional Medical Battalion, fires an M17 service pistol during the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge pistol qualification, part of the 2025 Connecticut Army National Guard Best Warrior Competition, at the Connecticut Army National Guard Training Center East Haven Rifle Range, East Haven, Connecticut, March 20, 2025. The pistol qualification was broken down into four segments. For the first two, each competitor had to engage their target in the torso area with two rounds, once at five meters and then again at 10 meters.
