Vice President Dick Cheney presents a Navy ball cap to a recruit following a Battle Stations evaluation. Cheney was at Naval Station Great Lakes to visit with recruits at the Navy's only recruit training center, including the Navy's newest training simulator USS Trayer. BST 21 simulates shipboard emergencies to evaluate Sailors completing training and marks the recruit's final rite of passage into the Navy. Cheney also spoke to more than 4,000 Sailors at Recruit Training Command's Pacific Fleet Drill Hall.
