Michael Owens, newest qualified submarine officer, and Captain Roy Springer, retired, the oldest qualified submarine officer in attendance, cut the cake at the 125th Submarine Birthday Ball, held in Portland, Maine, April 5. The event was hosted by Commander, Submarine Squadron Two and attended by crew members of submarines assigned to COMSUBRON2, submariners past and present and their guests.
