    26th Marine Expeditionary Unit     

    Lance Cpl. Jake Huber, from Pittsburgh, Pa., and an infantryman with Company K, Battalion Landing Team 3/2, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), helps tighten the lines used to send supplies between the USS Carter Hall (LSD 50) and the USNS Kanawha during a resupply at sea April 4, 2013. The MEU is currently deployed to the 6th Fleet area of operation. The MEU operates continuously across the globe, providing the president and unified combatant commanders with a forward-deployed, sea-based quick reaction force.
