U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Michael Craft, a heavy equipment operator assigned to Engineer Company, Marine Wing Support Squadron 272, Marine Corps Air Station New River, N.C., clears several tons of rock and dirt from a road on the U.S./Mexico border, near Nogales, Ariz., Mar. 18. The improved road will be used by U.S. Border Patrol-Tucson Sector agents during the execution of their counterdrug and homeland security support missions. The Marines expanded on the work previously completed by U.S. Army military engineers by installing several drainage culverts and improving the road by distributing more than 3,000 tons of aggregate.
