U.S. Marines assigned to Engineer Company, Marine Wing Support Squadron 272, Marine Corps Air Station New River, N.C., use a excavator to clear and shape the side of a mountain to create a drainage ditch along a recently improved border road, near Nogales, Ariz., Mar. 18. The military support construction project started January 2012 has created access to an area that was previously accessible only by foot or all-terrain vehicles. In the past, border agents took 40-minutes to patrol the area; now, it takes less than 10 minutes.
