Students from the choir at Jefferson High School of El Paso, Texas, performed "The Star-Spangled Banner" at the groundbreaking ceremony held at Logan Elementary School here, April 17. Featured from the left were Jerry Mora, Rebekah Sanchez, Octavio Garavito, David Herring and Annette Sanchez. The groundbreaking at Logan signals the construction of a new "State of the Army" school, the first of 20 schools selected across the Department of Defense funded at more than $13 million. The school is scheduled to be open in the fall of 2014. The project will replace all of the old campus except the pre-kindergarten wing, and the new all-purpose building, which opened two years ago.
