U.S. Army Special Forces soldiers drive up the ramp of an Air Force C-17 Globemaster III aircraft May 2, 2013, after the completion of Operation Serpent Clipper in support of Emerald Warrior 2013 at the John C. Stennis Space Center in Mississippi. During the operation, Soldiers infiltrated a simulated hostile camp, eliminated the enemy threat and saved a hostage. Emerald Warrior is an annual two-week joint/combined tactical exercise sponsored by U.S. Special Operations Command designed to leverage lessons learned from operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom to provide trained and ready forces to combatant commanders.
