A U.S. Army honor guard member places the remains of an unclaimed soldier in a niche at Arlington National Cemetery’s new Columbarium Court No. 9 on May 9, 2013. The soldier was one of six veterans who were the first to be inurned at the columbarium during a dedication ceremony. The Norfolk District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, oversaw the construction of the columbarium, which added more than 20,000 niches to the cemetery. (U.S. Army photo/Kerry Solan)
