Master Sgt. Leon Kennedy Jr., communications chief with Marine Wing Communications Squadron 38, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, stands at attention as his Bronze Star citation is read during a ceremony at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., May 13. Kennedy earned his bronze star for his hard work and dedication as senior enlisted advisor and operations chief with I Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward) from March 2012 to March 2013 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Kennedy led a team of advisors embedded with Afghan National Forces at a Afghan Uniformed Police combat outpost.
