Master Sgt. Leon Kennedy Jr., communications chief with Marine Wing Communications Squadron 38, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, is congratulated by Maj. Gen Steven Busby, commanding general of 3rd MAW, during a ceremony at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., May 13. Kennedy earned his bronze star for his hard work and dedication as senior enlisted advisor and operations chief with I Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward) from March 2012 to March 2013 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Kennedy has served for more than 20 years and has been stationed on MCAS Miramar for the past three years.
