A Djiboutian teacher performs CPR on a training dummy during a best-practices-for-first-responders exchange in Dikhil, Djibouti, April 15, 2013. The event, which supports Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa’s mission to strengthen the institutional capabilities of East African partner nations, enabled Dikhil-area primary school teachers an opportunity to observe and practice life-saving techniques used by U.S. military members in the areas of CPR; dental hygiene; heat, eye, and head injuries; bruises; sprains and breaks; bleeding; shock and burns.
