U.S. Army Sgt. Thomas Gaughan, a 411th Civil Affairs Battalion specialist in support of Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa, coaches Djiboutian teachers on CPR actions using a training dummy after briefing and demonstrating the techniques during a best-practices-for-first-responders exchange in Dikhil, Djibouti, April 15, 2013. The event afforded Dikhil-area teachers an opportunity to observe and practice life-saving techniques used by U.S. military members in the areas of CPR; dental hygiene; heat, eye and head injuries; bruises; sprains and breaks; bleeding; shock and burns. Overall, the exchange culminated with a practical exercise treating two simulated vehicle accident victims. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Caleb Pierce)
