Sergeant Phillip Whitener, an assistant platoon sergeant serving with 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, and a native of Polk County, Ark., carries boxes of donated clothes, May 28, 2013. The clothes are a small part of the donations for the victims of the tornadoes that damaged approximately 2,400 homes in and around Moore, Okla., and Oklahoma City, during the week of May 20. Marines and their families with the battalion, Operation Help A Hero, Team 2/5 Rancho Santa Margarita, Freedom Riders, U-Haul, Walmart, and the San Onofre military family community, donated supplies to the Oklahoma families.
