Equipment Operator 1st Class Brian Condray assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 17 tentatively listens to local Iraqi farmers questions concerning a bridge project taking place next to the property that their family has farmed for over 200 years. Seabees from NMCB 17 and the Army 814th Multi-Roll Bridge Company are working together on a large scale bridge building project located Western Iraq. Seabees attached to NMCB 17 are taking the lead moving an estimated 70 thousand cubic yards of earth to aid in completion of the 300 meter Maybey-Johnson Float Bridge that will span across the Euphrates River. When complete the project will help increase local commerce, trade, and travel for the Iraqi population in the area.
