Soldiers from B Company, 3rd Battalion (Airborne), 509th Infantry Regiment, check their M40A1 protective masks prior to entering the Arctic Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Chamber, June 17, 2013. The soldiers conducted nuclear, biological, and chemical training which included qualifying with their assigned weapons while wearing the mask, personal and early warning equipment use, decontamination procedures, mask maintenance, and completion of the protective mask confidence course.
