U.S. sailors assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 154 hose down Cmdr. James Christie to mark the squadron's change of command aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) July 4, 2013, in the Persian Gulf. Christie relinquished command of VFA-154 to Cmdr. John Depree during a midflight change of command ceremony. The Nimitz Carrier Strike Group was deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility conducting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
