    Marine Corps Recruiting Command

Lance Cpl. Juan Lomeli, 21, a supply warehouseman Headquarters and Service Battalion, Parris Island, S.C., serves recruits of Oscar Company, 4th Recruit Training Battalion, hot meals during Basic Warrior Training on June 25, 2013, on Parris Island, S.C. Marines served recruits hot meals as a training event to better familiarize Marines with operations and equipment they may use in the field or on a deployment. Food service Marines on Parris Island rarely have an opportunity to further train in their military occupational specialty since civilians operate the mess halls here. The food service Marines plan to hold this type of training twice a year on Parris Island. Lomeli is a native of San Jose, Calif. (Photo by Lance Cpl. David Bessey)
