Jesse Augustine, commander of the nearly 150 members of the Wisconsin Army National Guard's 229th Engineer Company of Prairie du Chien and Platteville, Wis., as well as the 106th Quarry Detachment of Tomah, Wis., spoke of the unit's accomplishments in difficult and dangerous circumstances during a July 11 welcome home ceremony at Volk Field, Wis.
