The students with the Yuma County Law Enforcement Explorer Academy stand in formation before receiving a class and demonstration with Marine Corps Air Station Yuma’s military working dog K-9 unit, July 16, 2013. “We want to expose them to all types of jobs and not just law enforcement,” said Frank Flores, a deputy with the Yuma County Sheriff’s Department and lead advisor for YCCLEEA. “The K-9 unit was a demonstration of how the military side of law enforcement works.”
