Lt. Hunter Scott, visits with survivor Victor Buckett of the USS Indianapolis CA-35 which on July 30, 1945, was sunk after delivering the first operational atomic bomb to the island of Tinnian. Of the 1,196 men aboard only 317 were pulled from the water after the sinking. RADM Rick Williamson, Commander Navy Region Midwest later that evening announced that the next commissioned Littoral Combat Ship will be named the USS Indianapolis in their honor.
