A Salvation Army Emergency Disaster worker talks with Ohio Governor Bob Taft and Brig. Gen. Greg Wayt, Assistant Adjutant General, Ohio Army National Guard at a distribution point at the Post 58 American Legion hall in northern Hancock County, Miss. The Salvation Army worker was one of a group setting up an operation to hand out hot meals to area residents in a nearby parking lot. The legion hall-based supply point is operated by Joint Task Force Buckeye, Ohio's military response in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Task force troops have been handing out food, water, ice and supplies to aid the people in the battered gulf coast region. The governor and adjutant general stopped at the Supply point as they traveled through the area to meet with deployed Ohio National Guard troops and survey storm damage. hkat
