PARRIS ISLAND, S.C. - Recruits of Papa Company, 4th Recruit Training Battalion, completed a combat training course as part of Basic Warrior Training on July 9, 2013, on Parris Island, S.C.
Recruits maneuvered over and under various obstacles such as concertina wire, walls and small moats while wearing combat equipment. While on the course, recruits worked in teams of two or four as they rushed to areas of protection from simulated enemy fire. While on Parris Island, recruits receive basic combat training skills that will be built upon throughout their Marine Corps careers. Papa Company is scheduled to graduate Aug. 2, 2013.
