    Master Sergeant Alexander Riedel is the Mission Partner Support section chief assigned to the 52nd Fighter Wing at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany. Most recently, he was the superintendent and photo editor for Stars and Stripes Europe and Expeditionary in Kaiserslautern, Germany. Sergeant Riedel began his career as a writer/editor at the Air Force News Desk, Defense Media Activity, Fort Meade, Md., where he covered stories for Air Force News and Airman Magazine. He was then assigned as NCO in charge of command information at the 36th Wing at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam. From this remote home base, he covered joint missions in Timor-Leste, Wake Island and Australia. In 2017, Sergeant Riedel deployed to U.S. Air Forces Central Command's Combined Air Operations Center in support of Operations Inherent Resolve and Freedom Sentinel, where he documented air combat support operations in Qatar, Kuwait and Afghanistan as well as providing support to the U.S. Department of State. In 2018, Sergeant Riedel placed first in the feature photo category of the Air Force Media Awards, and he was the 2020 Air Force Global Strike Command Outstanding Communication NCO of the Year while assigned as NCO in charge of Media Operations at the 509th Bomb Wing Public Affairs Office at Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri - the home of the B-2 Spirit stealth bomber.
