This team ensures that installation barrier arresting systems are fully operational, allowing pilots to safely execute emergency landings, and landings on short runways. The team is part of the Air Force Civil Engineer Center’s Civil Engineer Maintenance Inspection and Repair Team, or CEMIRT, that provides support for electrical distribution systems, power production systems, aircraft arresting systems, and heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems during peacetime and emergency response operations.
