Soldiers and airmen of the Indiana National Guard's 3-19th Agricultural Development Team pray the benediction, concluding their Afghanistan departure ceremony Sept. 25 at Camp Atterbury Joint Maneuver Training Center in central Indiana. The ADT capitalizes on the citizen-soldier concept of the National Guard by utilizing civilian education and experience to accomplish its missions. Tasked with providing agricultural development, oversight and education to farming communities throughout Afghanistan, the ADT will provide tools they need to become self-sufficient farmers.
