Guardsmen of Dalton, Ga.’s 1st Platoon, Charlie Troop, 1-108th Cavalry come in for a landing during dismount exercises at Fort Stewart on Sept. 10. The UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter dropped the platoon in an open field for air assault training during eXportable Combat Training Capabilities (XCTC). XCTC is a battalion field-training exercise designed to certify company proficiency in coordination with First Army. The platoon will be participating in combat simulation missions throughout the month of September at the Georgia Garrison Training Center.
