After a stirring 9/11 memorial ceremony, Capt. David Thornton, chaplain, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1-121st Infantry Regiment, 48th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, baptized Staff Sgt. Von Nunes of Delta Company 1-121st Infantry Regiment in a creek behind their encampment. Several Georgia Army National Guard soldiers and Scottish infantrymen witnessed the ceremony. Scottish soldiers from the 7th Battalion, Royal Regiment, Highlanders of Scotland who, along with the 48th Canadian Highlanders, are participating in an international cooperative training scenario during the eXportable Combat Training Capabilities.
